Meet Nichole

Hi! Let me tell you about my love for all things yoga, sound healing and tea. I’ll start with yoga! I started practicing yoga in 2010 and quickly fell in love. My body was recovering from a major neck surgery when I found a gentle yoga practice to supplement my physical therapy. My yoga mat has been a part of my life ever since. I received my 200 hr certification in 2013 and am an experienced registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. I have also certified in Restorative Yoga and specialize in gentle yoga flows. I have over 9 years of teaching experience in studios, recreation centers, schools, retreats and private homes. I love a good hot vinyasa class, but also have a passion for sharing a more gentle approach to yoga, restorative yoga and longer savasanas :) I believe yoga should be accessible for all bodies and abilities. Yoga is so much more than just “the hard poses”.

In 2020 I discovered the beauty of sound as a healing modality and the meditative state it can lead the mind to. I just received my Sound Healing Certification in 2022 from Sound Medicine Academy. I love guiding sound meditations (more commonly known as sound baths) for anyone and everyone! I also recently launched my Mindful Sound Healing training course for anyone wanting to learn about this modality and incorporate it into their life. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others so they can have this amazing gift for themselves and also pass it on to others.

I have always loved herbs and tea. My mom was an herbalist and she always served me herbal tea growing up. She passed away in 2022 and my heart was broken in a way I had never experienced. Not long after her death a friend invited me to her home and served me tea in a bowl. It was not herbal tea, but the actual Chinese tea leaf. It was a lovely and soothing ritual. It helped bring me comfort in my heartache. I knew this was something I needed in my life. I wanted to learn all about tea traditions, the Chinese tea plant and how to incorporate this mediative practice into my life. I found a tea mentor who is now my tea friend. She first taught me the simple brewing method of “leaves in a bowl” and sent me the most delicious teas I had ever tasted all the way from China. Weeks later she would teach me the method of brewing in a side handle tea pot. I woke up every morning at sunrise to sit outside with tea. I felt so present, connected to nature and comforted in that small and simple moment. This tea practice I started truly helped me through the grieving process of losing my mother and also in moments feel very connected to her in spirit as I sipped tea. I started serving friends and family in my home and continue to do so. I also recently began offering public bowl tea ceremonies in small groups. We need more simple moments of just “being” together and I can’t think of a better way than sharing a bowl of tea.

I am also a wife, a mother of 2 amazing kids, I love traveling, paddle boarding, dancing, being with my family, spending time in nature and spending time with my friends. That is just a small bit about me. I would love to connect and learn more about YOU.
